Dreaming of blood
Kinship and life-force in Akan thought (mogya = the maternal blood line), or loss and alarm.
Mogya is the maternal line itself, blood in a dream often concerns kinship, inheritance, or the health of the family line. Your own bleeding can mean a drain on your strength; another’s, a matter touching a relative.
Blood carries covenant and life. Its meaning turns on the scene, sacrifice and cleansing on one hand, violence and alarm on the other.
Blood is read according to its cleanliness and cause. Blood that soils is commonly linked to unlawful gain or to a matter that will bring regret; a wound that bleeds and then heals is read as a difficulty that resolves.
Blood signals life force and vulnerability at once. Dreams of bleeding often accompany exhaustion or the sense that something is draining you faster than you can replenish it.
Blood imagery is high-arousal and appears more often in stress-disturbed sleep. In menstruating people it also correlates with cycle phase, which is worth noting before reading further meaning into it.
