Dreaming of a dog
Loyalty or hostility, decided entirely by the animal’s behaviour.
A dog that guards is a friend keeping watch over your household; a dog that bites or pursues is read as someone close turning against you. Behaviour decides the meaning, not the animal.
Dogs appear in scripture mostly as scavengers at the margins, so hostile dogs are read as opposition, while a guarding dog softens toward protection.
Dogs are classically read as a lowly adversary or a person of coarse character. A trained, working dog is read more favourably than a stray that attacks.
Dogs represent loyalty, instinct and the domesticated parts of the self. An attacking dog often reflects a betrayal you sensed before you named it.
Animal dreams draw on personal association more than universal meaning. Your own history with dogs shapes this far more than any symbolic system.
