Dreaming of money
Rarely literal. Usually about provision, value, and where your security rests.
Receiving money can point to coming provision or, inverted, to a loss, the elders warn that "found money" in a dream sometimes precedes an expense. Losing money speaks to anxiety over provision or trust misplaced.
A prompt to examine where security rests. Abundant harvest imagery (Genesis 41) reads as provision to be stewarded; scattered or stolen money as misplaced trust.
Wealth in dreams is read against how it is acquired. Lawful, freely given money signals barakah and provision; money seized, counterfeit or hidden is read as a warning about the source of what you are pursuing.
Money stands in for self-worth and security rather than literal cash. Losing it commonly accompanies periods of feeling undervalued; finding it accompanies recognition or a rise in confidence.
Financial imagery in dreams tracks closely with real financial stress, and researchers find it rises measurably during periods of economic pressure. It is usually a readout of current worry rather than a signal about future money.
